BLACKRIDGE ELEMENTARY
STUDENT CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT PROTOCOL

CHECK-IN:
We request that all students check-in at the office when arriving after the 9:00 am
bell. Parents/guardians are not required to enter the school to check-in their
students. We do ask that you ensure your child has safely entered the
school before you leave the drop-off area.

CHECK-OUT:
As of August 1, 2023 we are asking that parents, legal guardians or emergency
contacts come into the office to check out their student(s). Please remember,
you MUST have your picture ID with you and please allow a few extra
minutes for your student(s) to come down to the office.
In an effort to help ensure the safety of your children, students will only be
called from the classroom to check-out when the following conditions have
been met:
● Verification that the individual checking student(s) out of school is listed on
the student’s school record as being authorized to take the student(s) from
school (parent, legal guardian, or emergency contact).
● An office clerk has verified the parent or guardian’s valid driver’s license or
other official picture ID.
After the above conditions have been met the student will be called down to the
office. Again, a picture ID must be provided before we can release the student(s)
from school.
